The software tool GGT (Graphical Genotyping) has evolved from its initial release as a data visualisation tool in 19991 to a versatile tool for the visualisation and analysis of marker data. Added features in the 2006 release of GGT are:

Data exchange, import and export has been greatly improved. GGT now allows data import from either the GGT/Locus textual file format or from Excel spreadsheets, but also export to Excel, MEGA and Mapchart is supported in the latest release.

GGT is used by a growing global user community and has been included in the 'recommended software tools' package by the Generation Challenge program. GGT runs under Microsoft Windows only.
