PAG-VII

Introduction

This draft plan will be updated on an irregular basis. As the program details are finalized there will be minor changes. These changes are likely to occur in the schedule until late into the fall of 1998.

Administration:

All administrative questions should be addressed to Darrin Scherago at Scherago International Inc., 11 Penn Plaza, Suite 1003, New York, NY 10001. His phone number is 1-212-643-1750 (extension 20) (FAX number is 1-212-643-1758) and their Internet e-mail address is pag@scherago.com. Scherago International is the conference organizer for PAG-VII.

Abstracts:

Participants are invited to submit abstracts for the poster session either in hard copy (printed form) or by e-mail (see the meeting abstracts section details). There were over 400 posters at PAG-VI. The abstract forms will have a set of categories to assure your poster talk is properly handled. The printed abstract forms are now available from Scherago International, however electronic submissions are much preferred and easier. This year we have added some suggestions and guidelines for those who will present posters, as well as those who will give talks in the sessions and at the workshops.

This year all posters not will be up the entire length of the meeting. Posters need to be taken down by 1:00 pm on Thursday this year. Those presenting posters this year need only be at their posters one day this year - Monday for the odd numbered posters and Tuesday for the even numbered posters.

All abstracts will be reviewed by members of the organizing committee. The normal review turn-around time will be within two - three weeks after the deadline for the receipt of the abstracts. This year any abstracts not submitted electronically should be submitted to: PAG-VII Abstracts, USDA, 800 Buchanan Street Albany, CA 94710 USA. You will be notified of the acceptance of your abstract(s). Abstracts should be submitted directly via the web , but may also be submitted on printed formsavailable from Scherago or by e-mail ( pag7form@www.intl-pag.org). Once you have completed the abstract form, send your form by e-mail to: ( pag7abstracts@www.intl-pag.org).

Room Sharing:

At past meetings a few people have wished to share a room to minimize hotel costs. Anyone wishing to do so for PAG-VII should send their name, gender, address, and e-mail to Dr. Stephen R. Heller(srheller@nal.usda.gov), who will post the list of names as part of the PAG-VII web site. Please notify Dr. Heller if you find a room-mate on this list so your name can be taken off the list!
