FlyBase is a database of genetic and molecular data concerning Drosophila. The scope of FlyBase includes: genes, alleles (and phenotypes), aberrations, transposons, vectors, pointers to sequence data, clones, stock lists, bibliographic references and contact information for Drosophila workers. Primary access to FlyBase is through a multi-protocol server (http://flybase.bio.indiana.edu/) and mirrors (see http://flybase.bio.indiana.edu/alt-view s/mirrors/). New Java-based graphical query and browsing tools include map-based access to most of the genetic and molecular data and anatomical images that provide links to genetic information relevant to a given body part.
