LEROY HOOD

Department of Molecular Biotechnology, University of Washington, Box 357730, Seattle, Washington 98195-7730

The Human Genome Project has demonstrated that the analysis of complex genomes offers striking challenges both in the mapping and sequencing phases. I will discuss some of these challenges and offer new solutions to some of these challenges. I will also discuss a major class of opportunities arising from genome analyses--the analysis of complex biological systems and networks.
