But what does it mean? Using NetAffx[tm], the portal for GeneChip(R) Annotations to sort out your data.

NetAffx[tm] is the web application and datasource that will help you understand the functional implications of your GeneChip(R) Array data and delve into the details of how the chip works. This workshop will cover the essential topics of how GeneChips (and other microarrays) are designed, how to use the genomic context of the probes and how to look at gene function to do better molecular biology, covering special cases that users often encounter.

Speakers:

Ron Shigeta, Ph.D. , Affymetrix, Inc.
Ron is a bioinformaticist whose background includes wet bench science, genomics and protein structure. He is currently the team lead for the NetAffx Group at Affymetrix.

Venu Valmeekam, Ph.D., Affymetrix, Inc.
Venu is the main support scientist for Genotyping and Expression Arrays in the NetAffx Group at Affymetrix.
